About me

'My love of strength and movement means keeping people the best they can be is my passion'

Sarah {Steel-Hoath}
I set up in business 16 years ago after a career as a professional Event Rider led her to the world of Sports Massage. Five years ago, whilst studying and working in London, Sarah took up Pilates after previously falling in {love} with Barre class.
I'm a level 4 Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist, STOTT Pilates instructor, qualified in medical acupuncture, Certificate in Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy, auricular acupuncture and the use of Battlefield acupuncture is particular area of interest for me.
Back in 2009 after having just moved back to area I came across The Barre - the UK's first dedicated Barre studio in the UK. As a newly trained therapist and head full of anatomy, biomechanics and physiology this workout struck me as pure gold. It just made sense. The vibe, the atmosphere and the ethos was everything that resonated with me.
I moved to London for a few years to work in medical aesthetics clinic whilst I began a degree in Osteopathic medicine. After 2 years of this degree I became pregnant with my first son and decided that a life back in the north east was for me. I found a new love for the skills and training I already have and vowed one day maybe I'd take up on osteopathy again.
Fast forward to early 2019 and a chance catch up with Nat, owner of The Barre saw me buying the business off her and stepping into her shoes as the owner of my dream business.
Now I am able to combine what I've learnt in previous careers, in business, sports massage and Barre Instructor training and with the help of Nat and our team we run the north easts only dedicated Barre studio.
